  Carl P. Fastabend, M.D., local cardiologist, vein expert and owner/Medical Director of The Vein Center of Southwest Louisiana, recently presented an informative session on Intravascular Ultrasound in Pelvic Vein Compression at the 2013 "The Veins” Venous Endovascular Interventional Strategies Conference held in Chicago, Illinois.

2/25/2014 Fastabend and Conner Attend National Forum
 Lake Charles vein disorder expert and owner/founder of the Vein Center of Southwest Louisiana, Dr. Carl Fastabend and Nurse Practitioner, Robert Conner attended the 26th annual American Venous Forum in New Orleans, February 19-21.
4/17/2014 Fastabend and Credeur Attend National Symposium
 Carl Fastabend, M.D., and Brian Credeur, N.P., both with the Vein Center of Southwest Louisiana, attended the Venous Symposium in late March. The symposium, held in New York City, covered all aspects of venous disease and presented the latest in vein therapy and advanced treatment protocols.
6/16/2014 New Office - Lafayette, LA
 The Vein Center of Southwest Louisiana has opened a new office in Lafayette at 1700, Kaliste Saloom Rd. The office is located in Building 2, Suite 201. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
